Testing UE5's "Lumen"
Rendered in UE5 using "Movie Render Que".
There is only 1 light in the scene (The Viper engines are lights, but only kick on at the end of the shot). Which is a Directional Light, all other lighting comes from emissive materials, and bounce lighting.
There are a number of issues. Unfortunately most ray tracing features seems to be deprecated in UE5.
This scene is a WIP scene that I have been tinkering with for a while, the thrusters that fire are BP controlled Niagara emitters that fire in response to velocity of the VIPER, this system is also WIP, and is not fully functional.
I did play around with Nanite, but it had issues where materials either would not render, or would render on incorrect surfaces.
